God is Good...All the Time!!

Tonite my daughter & her husband had a baby girl! I was halfway across the country -unable to be at the birth in person but they called as she was beginning to push... and five minutes later the doctor said, "It's a girl!" and the sweet cry of Madeline Claire was heard for the first time. I'm sure I heard angels singing at that moment! Baby Madeline weighs 6 lbs. 1 oz & is 19 1/2" long and has lots of dark hair!
Mommy & Daddy are doing well... I'm curious how the two older girls are going to react to a "real" baby - she's not just the baby in mommy's tummy anymore!
(obviously this picture of Madeline was taken just shortly after she was born... more to come!)

  1. That is so wonderful. At least you got to hear her. Congratulations. Good health too all. My grandaughter who was born Aug 30th may come to visit next month. She lives in New York. Her Dad is stationed at Fort Jump.

I love the name your daughter chose. Again Congratulations.

  2. Congrats!!! How exciting! So what do your granddaughters call you (not grandma, right?)?

So happy for you, mountain neighbor!

  4. Thank you all for the congratulations!
Lisa - "my girls" call me "Mama Marcy". Hayli started calling me Mama when she lived with us (my daughter & SIL were both in Iraq). She calls her mom "mommy"... and I'm "Mama Marcy"... and my mom is "GG" (great-grandma).
Can't wait to see all FOUR of my girls... maybe next month!
